Avita/Move from another booking system

Move from another booking system

What comes across, what does not, and when to run the import.

Help/Getting started

If you are leaving Boulevard, Booker, Vagaro, Square, or a spreadsheet, we import your existing data rather than making you retype it.

Run it before building your menu

Imported clients arrive with their visit history, which tells you what your menu should actually contain. Building the menu first usually means rebuilding it.

What comes across

  • Clients — name, contact details, notes, visit history
  • Appointments — past and upcoming
  • Services — names, durations, prices
  • Staff — as records; each person still needs an invite to log in
  • Gift cards and packages — outstanding balances

What does not

  • Saved card details. Cards cannot move between processors. Clients re-enter a card the first time they pay. This is a rule of the card networks, not a limitation we chose.
  • Passwords. Staff and clients set new ones.
  • Photos and files, in most cases — depends on the source system.

Upcoming appointments

Bring across everything already on the calendar so nobody arrives to find their slot missing. Import close to your switch-over date so the two systems do not drift, and stop taking bookings in the old system once you do.
